Not sure where to post this but also didn't want to sound boastful. We went to a function at Antigua Estaciona few weeks back and was given a raffle ticket (yes, given it as we attended). The prize was a special gift (sometimes an air balloon trip or other event named). This time it was a 30 minute drive of either a Ferrari 430, Lotus Elise 111R or a Porshe Cayman S (whatever they are). Recently checked the ONCE lottery site for the date stated and it seemed we might have the right number. Went to see Antonio today to see if we were right - and we were. My husband has won the prize of going to Guadix Race Track to drive one of the vehicles mentioned.
At first I wasn't going to check as we never usually win anything and when I did, I did think of not saying anything as it meant I would have to do the translating (but that would have been mean) so today we spoke to Anthony (friends did help in this process) and were given the certificate to collect the prize. My husband is overjoyed and I thought others would like to know that it is worth checking on these things.
I will update you on what happens when he books the day and has the drive - he has up to around mid January to claim his prize. This is the first time he has won any raffle since before we got engaged and we have been married 43 years so it has been a long time coming.

I'm sure "winning" you more than made up for it (all together: aaahhhhh!) sunny

P.S. have you checked his life insurance is all up to date?

What a real treat, I am so pleased to hear of your win. That track at Guadix is brilliant too.

Congrats! It should be a wonderful day. Gaudix is a very nice circuit and the backdrops are stunning.

Of the three cars, the Lotus will be the hardest to get in and out of, but will most likely give you most the "seat of the pants" driving experience.

The Cayman (its claimed that its what the 911 used to be like to drive a good few years ago) will be the most "capable" car out there that will flatter your driving style.

The F430 will likely be the most special but given the shortish  straights at Guadix, the least likely to be able to "open up" to the full.

Which ever is chosen, it will surely be a blast!

Day has now been booked, it is late November. Not a lot of choice on date at Guadix but Huelva is too far to go (other circuit that was possible to use gift). They also confirmed that their instructors also speak English and French so should be good.

The only words he'll need to know in English are "Faster" and "Oh ****".
what car is he going for?

We are not sure what car as from what I translated for him he will be having a 25-30 minute theory course, followed by driving around the Lotus Elise 111R and a turn driving the Ferrari F430 and Porsche Cayman S so it sounds as though he may get a turn at all three. The whole thing will last around 2 hours.

Went yesterday. Day was very cold. Was very surprised to see such a large event. It wasn't just for those who had got a present from the company supplying my OH's prize (which was zonaregalo.com). The company organizing the actual day is gt academia and they organize days like this for anyone who wants to pay to drive any one of 6 vehicles round the race track. You have a tutor in the car with you and some of the people seem to have gone many times going by the way they shot off round the track. Mick's tutor was French but spoke English and went round with him in all 3 cars. Mick said that one lap in each car when you didn't know the circuit or the car made it challenging (I told him he had been driving much slower than the others). Due to circumstances he did not have the theory course but I managed to take lots of photos - probably not very good as it wasn't my camera and my hands were freezing. At the end of the day he was given a diploma to say he had done it. If anyone is interested you can check out the web site: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which gives you all the info about visiting various circuits around Spain. After leaving the circuit we went and had lunch at Emilio's which, as we don't eat our very often, made a nice change.
