Another newbie Trog
Hi Everybody,
Am new to the forum, but not to Spain. I am English and live with my American partner in Baza. We own a cave house up towards the bullring and we love it here.
After nearly a year of dreamily staring at our amazing view of the Altiplano every day, we now want to get out and about and sample Spanish living. It seems to us that nothing is ever advertised and so I am hoping that we can learn about things that are going on around us from this forum and post on any knowledge that we have.

Welcome! Re. finding out about what's on, some events get posted on the Cave Forum but a lot of the ayuntamientos have a page you can 'like' and you'll get to see their info. Don't know about Baza, but Castillejar and Huescar have. They all have websites too - but you have to remember to check them!

Re: Another newbie Trog
Just read my post and realised it didn't make sense - does the forum not accept 'FB' in full?

Re: Another newbie Trog
FB listings were added to the swear filter some time ago due to the forum being bombed with links to trade pages and spammers. I got fed up of deleting them.

Hi Bigbird
bit the same as you, live elsewhere but bought ( as of the 19th ) a cave house in Zujar.....and fancied meeting a few locals at the Cullar (Dia del
Altiplano) ....it was totally brill !
only 20 kms...about 8 mins the way I drive , lol , from Baza !
Peeps of all kinds and nationalities, loads of v.friendly people, lovely spanish ( who strangely most of which spoke v, good English )
but it was a fantastic intro into Altiplano products, like lots of free wine and tapas, and the best lamb I have tasted for many a year !....
and there's another , same place ( it will be signed ) on the 30th.
If you want a good day with Flamenco too, go along.
Venta Alegre for an evening meal is excellent...700 metres away.

Hope you enjoy being on the forum bigbird17. We weren't on it for a few years and probably missed out on lots of essential info, help and events.
Keep us posted Andy on any good places to eat in Zujar. Glad you've completed buying the new place!
