Van for sale

I have been discussing ways to dispose of a van. There seemed to be some interest so I have moved to this thread. The van is a 2003 LDV Convoy 3500 kg (twin wheel), ex Post Office (very red!). High top, LWB , 2.4 litre Diesel turbo (Ford Duratorque) engine with manual Gearbox. 75,000 on clock approx.It has an extra row of 4 seats behind the front seats, with a window in the sliding door and a window on the opposite side too. It has a couple of issues which should not be hard to fix, fuel gauge and reversing lights.
It has been on SORN for 18 months. Located in Galera area.

Tidy van this. Ive seen it and its well worth having. It could easily be made into a camper too. It alreadt has rear windows and seats fitted.

Back to the van! we tried the 1 scrap yard in Baza but they are not interested, the other one the man was on hol so have to return on Mon, has anyone got any more ideas where we can scrap it? Not to far away as it will have to be collected. Please and thank you.

I cant believe that nobody is interested in buying it. Why not just bung it on ebay with a reserve to cover your fees and see what you get for it.

There are 3 scrap yards (desguace) in Baza. Bastidos, the one with the Mini on a pole and where they seem to be a little retarded, Azor, the big one close to Olibaza and a third on the opposite side of the road to the other two and also close to Olibaza.

we tried one with mini today, no interest but lady was helpful Azor not interested, the other one we were told was only interested in cars. Ian not keen on ebay and i dont have a clue. so looks like its staying! in the way but we will tell dvla it permenently imported. Could be made into a conservatory with a bit of cutting about.

Azor have just picked up my old Ducato van and an old 205 from me and they paid me. 
I showed them the log books and explained that they were already permanently exported. No problem!

if your vehicle is permanently exported and re-registered in Spain you may qualify for Plan PIVE - a government initiative to replace old cars with new. They scrap your old vehicle and give you a heap of cash to buy a new one.

van not registered in spain its on a sorn from uk, it was too costly to register here for a second car and about the same to take back to sell when the tax ran out. it will have to be scrapped. any one want any spares, seats wheels engine will have to remove yourself.
