nothing to do with topics on page but i have been reading stuff and at the same time have been pestered by flying bugs found myself trying to kill the sqiggly thing on the bottom of Daves posts! humph!

If you use Firefox as your browser, go in to about:config
search for an attribute called image.animation_mode
 and set it to "once" (without the quotes). Then any animation on a page will only play one time, not continuously
