Creepy Crawly

Post by Cullarfamily on Tue Jun 19, 2012 10:29 am

Have had three of these little blighters in our home over the last couple of days. Two in the kitchen sink and one on the back of the sofa! eek! affraid

Apparently can give you a nasty bite but aren't venemous.

They move very fast!!

They're called sunspiders or wind scorpions (because they 'run like the wind' apparently).

Hi, Flying Dutchman - these creepy crawlies are actually called Solifugae (to give them their proper name) but are also known variously as camel spiders, wind scorpions, sun spiders or solifuges. So we are both right. Very Happy
Take a look at Wikipedia.
