Carboot

Hi,

Could anyone tell me if there are any carboot sales this week within the Huescar or Baza areas.

There is always a carboot in Baza every Sunday Morning, This is located in the large lorry park behind the Hotel Abadi which is off the roundabout at the Hospital entrance to the town (A-92 Junction 342 Baza Este). Well worth a visit .

Usually stallholders start turning up about 8 ( in the summer maybe a bit earlier ) and again depending on weather it goes on until 1 or 2 pm . For buyers come whenever if you are there when people are setting up expect to join in the mass scramble of people expecting something for nothing 's

the weather has stopped some stall holders from coming but hopefully back to normal soon

went to the carboot and had a good mooch round looking forward to going again soon

Thought I should just mention that the junction number for Hotel Abadi is no longer 342. Some time ago the powers that be at the Junta realised that their numbering system had gone haywire. The A92 that runs from Seville (I think) splits at Guadix and goes to Almeria, the other part that runs past Baza they called the A92N. They had continued the numbering from Seville on to the A92N rather than on the Almeria part, hence junction 342. They then decided they had made a mistake and changed the numbers for the A92N from the Guadix junction (now junction 0) and I believe the Abadi junction is now around 43, 44 or thereabouts.

Just checked Google Maps and they still say it is 342 but I know it isn't as it caused havoc when friends came to visit a while back and they couldn't find that junction number to stay at a hotel in Baza. They had to phone for directions.

Correct Cats, the junction numbers were changed nearly 3 years ago, but even now most maps will still show the incorrectly numbered junctions.
