Certainly there are a lot of favourable comments on Amazon. Has anyone read her blog?

Not read that one but a friend of mine is about to launch her first novel called 'Secrets of the Pomegranate', which is based on Granada. Her name is Barbara Lamplaugh and she is an English writer living in Granada. Will be getting a copy soon and will let you all know what I think!

Have now read this and it's good! Maybe a bit of a 'holiday read' and maybe more for girls than boys but... a compelling story set against real events and I think anyone familiar with the Albaicin and Sacramonte barrios of Granada would find the descriptions of life there for different people accurate.
